Girl Geek Academy is a global movement encouraging women to learn technology, create startups and build more of the internet.

With aims of teaching 1 million women and girls to build the internet by 2025, this group of hipsters, hackers and hustlers are skilled digital professionals wanting to increase the number of women with successful STEM careers. This girl-gang work with teachers, schools, corporates and startups to increase the number of woman in the digital and entrepreneurial landscape.

#MissMakesCode is the first initiative in the world created to build confidence and self efficacy in the areas of algorithmic thinking, programming and coding for in young girls from 5-8 years of age, where girls will learn to code and build a game in a day. Their events usually sell out in 24 hours, with spots for young ones snapped up quicker than you can click "Buy Now"!

We are thrilled to launch a #MissMakesCode Session at FFS2017 and proud to promote and partner with an initiative that empowers women to move beyond consuming screen content to creating it.
